Preschool Program

Cedar Preschool is a dedicated preschool classroom serving children ages 2.9 to 5 years. Our play-based, relationship-centered program is grounded in the belief that children are capable, curious, and active participants in their own learning. Through play, exploration, meaningful relationships, and responsive teaching, children develop confidence, creativity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. Our educators use observation and documentation to create an emergent curriculum based on children's interests, incorporating the Project Approach, hands-on exploration, and meaningful experiences in our outdoor classroom. We believe nature and the Cambridge community are extensions of the classroom, providing children with opportunities to explore, wonder, build relationships, and develop a deep connection to the natural world and the community around them. We partner closely with families to create an inclusive learning community where every child feels known, valued, develops a strong sense of belonging, and is inspired to learn.
